Pawaplegic pups now have a shot at running again as scientists successfully use nose cell transplants to reverse spinal cord injuries in our four legged friends. Nose cells in dogs continue to regenerate through their lives, so by injecting the refined cells into the site of injury, dogs will regain some of their previous ability to move and walk. In the latest trial, most of the 23 dogs that were given the treatment saw improvement in their recovery.
