People in Lenasia have been buying homes that were built illegally on government land. Actually every article says they were built illegally, but government corruption is nothing new in South Africa, so your guess is as good as mine. I digress, the government has sent in bulldozers to destroy the structures even as people have lived in them. Court’s have heard the arguments and there has been a cessation of demolitions. The following video pretty much sums it up.
