I wrote this up to save myself time. http://mostmetro.com/life/opinion-blogs/opinion-voting-as-defensive-action-why-im-voting-for-president-obama.html
Voted for Obama. Romney has too many secrets that, if elected, we will have to live with regardless of the cost to the American people. He cannot be trusted. Also, by definition, I have chosen to be a Democrat. I believe in a fair shot for everyone. Also, Obama has done an amazing job give the pathetic state of the country during the Bush years. Let him continue on an upward path. The Affordable Care Act is a Godsend to a huge population of those of us who are vulnerable. As a retired Social Worker I know some of what is going on “out there”. Romney and team live in a bubble. He can talk a good talk, but he is clueless.
Why do our voting machines have to be so retro? One would expect with the advancements of technology and all we could be a little bit more savvy with the whole production. May this be an indication that politics are entirely too archaic?
The machines in NY are electronic this year, definately a step up.had to fill in the bubbles like a Scantron from school and it reads it, the height of 1990’s tecnology
I’m sad Romney lost. But extremism was rejected, and it was extremism that certain Republicans expressed- the rape morons, the voter ID fiascos, the bashing of immigrants. They don’t reflect the majority of Republicans that want fiscal responsibility, military strength, and small government- hopefully a lesson will be learned by party leaders, and the extremists will be marginalized. Just like OWS folks were marginalized by Democrats. If their views were endorsed by party, Romney would be President.
