Could Putin’s Time Be ‘Stalin’ Out In Russia?

In opposition to the reign of Vladimir Putin, tens of thousands of people have joined in protest over the latest election results. In retaliation, the Russian government has raised the penalties of being anywhere associated with these protests. This punishment has actually backfired on the government, with the outrageous fines of $10,000 for violations, the masses see the punishment as actually victimizing the protesters. Those sympathetic to the case see Putin’s time as oppressive and filled with fraud, allowing him to maintain power and control for as long as royalty or a dictator. The opposition to his reign are calling for new and fresh elections with new party member. This upset in Russia has untold consequences across the globe with Russia being the last major power in talks with Syria and most of the Middle East. Whether these protests will continue or yield results has yet to be seen, but it is possible we are seeing the beginnings of the next uprising against a government in the past few years.
