Not to toot our own horn, but SJS has been predicting a landslide in this election since it’s creation. We reason that Obama is going to win, because the Republicans continue to alienate a population that is becoming more diverse and liberal by the day. It occurred to me that the Republicans have no chance when they started in on Woman. I could not conceive how they could alienate 52% of the population and take a national election. The Grand Ole Party might think it is the Good Old Days, when they could order a woman to do as they wanted, but I can tell you as a modern man, our woman will never lay down for such nonsense. Anyway, Obama leads Romney 53%-40% in recent polls. The article has a plethora of data on the actual poll results and a breakdown of what all this mean. SJS continue to be skeptical about the motivations the Democrats have, but optimistic that the voting population is sending a message that they will no longer support a platform based on discrimination or the advancement of big business. Young voters are disproportionately becoming more liberal in their beliefs on gay rights and immigration. As they grow older their beliefs are going to shape the world we live in. In the meantime, voters must keep the pressure on the Democratic party to keep human rights as the foundation of their political platform.
