This week is national suicide prevention week. A new website is set to be launched called Jersey Voice; it aims to create a forum where teens and young adults can speak to their peers about the troubles that they are experiencing. Those troubles do not necessarily have to be suicidal thoughts, it could be as simple as having a lousy day. This is a terrific idea for younger people who often cannot relate their experiences to adults that they consider out of touch with the reality of their world. This is resource social workers should know about, check out the article.
