This just seems so ‘no duh’ to me to put it lightly this early in the morning. The end is my favorite: “Dr. James T. Breeden, the president of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, is baffled by abortion foes’ opposition to contraception. He told the AP, “I would think if you were against abortions, you would be 100 percent for contraception access.””. Very good point of the flawed logic!
Yes, Georgianna, it should be a no-brainer. This is not just about reducing abortions, this has an impact on economics as well. Having a child is the number one reason teen moms drop out of school. According to the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy one-quarter of teen mother will go on welfare within three years after giving birth.
Free and easily accessable birth control is an absolute plus– the poverty and stress of single parenthood, esp. by teens, is a primary cause of dysfunction in most poverty-stricken neighborhoods.
