We urge you to sign this petition that calls for Congress to approve the funding that will help people rebuild their broken lives in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Please share it with your friends and family. SJS is based on Long Island, we are witnessing first hand what these delays are doing to our community. Send Congress a message that people should come before politics. Congress is delaying the approval of much needed funds for families, individuals, and businesses devastated by Hurricane Sandy. They are doing so for the same reasons that they cannot seem to get anything done these days; members of Congress have forgotten that their primary purpose is to serve people, not political ideologies. Hurricane Katrina funds were approved two weeks after the disaster.
